Children ages 4 thru kindergarten meet on the 1st floor in separate classrooms designed especially for them. There are age appropriate activities planned for both the 9:30 and 11:00 am service times, including crafts, games, singing, and a Bible lesson. They also enjoy learning through free play and interacting with one another.
We want them to be excited and look forward to coming to church. We endeavor to have fun-filled, child-centered rooms that have loving caregivers to interact with the children. Central has both volunteer and paid staff helping in the nursery. The nursery is open for Sunday AM and PM services, Wednesday PM, and Friday PM programming .
Safety, cleanliness, and loving children for Jesus are important to Central. All the equipment and materials have gone through the toughest tests to know that they are safe for the smallest of children. After each time the nursery is used, the room and equipment is cleaned and disinfected. Our first priority for Central’s nursery is the children.
Health Information
In order to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all children, we follow the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics. They recommend that a child not leave home when any of the following symptoms exist: fever; vomiting; diarrhea; sore throat; green or yellow discharge from the nose; any skin infections; pink eye or other eye infections; lice; any unexplained rash; croup; and communicable diseases. We ask that a child be free of fever and all symptoms for 24 hours before coming to church. Central’s children’s leaders do not administer any form of medications to any child.
